Alicia Titus Memorial Peace/Walk Run
On September 11, 2021, Bev and John Titus will commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that took the lives of nearly three thousand people, including their daughter, Alicia through the Alicia Titus Memorial Peace Walk/Run.
The Alicia Titus Memorial Peace Fund came into being in 2002 through the Titus family vision and the efforts of the Swedenborgian Church and Reverend Betsy Coffman. Urbana University graciously agreed to house Alicia's Peace Fund. The purpose of the Fund is to carry out the legacy and spirit of Alicia’s life by sponsoring programs for the University and community that promote and support a culture of peace.
Since 2002, the Alicia Titus Memorial Peace Fund has sponsored over 71 programs and events for Urbana University and the Urbana “City of Peace” community. It is with the help from others that the Titus family has raised over $100,000 over the last 19 years, allowing them to provide such programs.
For the month of September, every purchase made with the discount code PEACE will get a free Peace Sign Necklace. In addition, From War to Peace will donate 20% from these purchases to the Titus family recommendation of The World House Choir.
